we had three tiring days at St. Lukes Medical Center for Sierra and the Husband's medical exam. you can read our first day experience here and our second and third day experience here. were just glad that it's over and that we can now get ready for their interview for next Friday. i plan to fix all their documents today and review all of it with the husband on Saturday.
we had a busy Sunday . we woke up at 7 am last Sunday to eat breakfast at the other house, it was Angkong's birthday so there was the usual birthday misua. most of the family members were there, some even came from Paranaque, Malate and Makati just to eat and greet Angkong. we also went to Victory fellowship and then went to greenbelt 5. i bought a cute dress at Bayo for Sierra, their Bayo branch over there had tons of cute dresses and tops. we didn't realize that it was already 6 pm , we had to get home by 6:30 for the Chinese New Year party. By the time we got home everybody was already there and mass already started. i hurriedly went to my room and changed because i was wearing a black top. good thing i already had my red blouse ironed. anyway, here's a picture of Sierra wearing the red Chinese dress i made her wear for the party. we went up to our room at around 10 pm because we had to wake up at 4 am the following day for the Medical exam. I'll do another post tomorrow about all our medical exam experience.
my sister just told me that she's coming with our mom on Feb 16. were already excited because we will be going back to our condo at Greenhills so that we could easily go to the mall when we want to. they are staying for 2 weeks and hopefully if the visa interview goes well Sierra and i could come home with them to the States. i also found out that my Aunts and Uncles' are also coming here and we all have the same returning date. we are also planning to go to Hk if we still have enough time , my sister wants to go shopping there because she hasn't been there for 5 years.
tomorrow will be a busy day for us, we need to be at Makati Med by 9 am and need to go to the Doctor. we also need to get hubby's blood sample to check which vaccines he already got and also get his x-ray. i need to go to the condo to pay the association dues and immediately go to Cardinal Santos hospital for Sierra's check up. i also need to get her medical records and certificate that she has completed all her vaccines. hopefully i can make it at UST church by the afternoon to get our marriage certificate. there are still tons of documents i need to get my mom to send to me from the States which we will be needing for the Medical exam next week and for the immigration interview on Feb. 6. i just wish everything will arrived in time.
it's Sierra's last week at Gymboree and I'm already going to miss her funny teachers. Sierra loves listening to the teachers' stories and gets so excited when she sees other kids. i already researched if there are any Gymboree's in Virginia and it seems there is one near our place. once we get to the States I'll try to enroll her there before she goes to a toddler school. anyway, i bought a bottle of bubble solution at Gymboree because Sierra finished her small one. she makes me and her yaya blow bubbles everyday even when she takes a bath hehehe
just got a call from my sister and mom in the States, they were too excited and couldn't wait for me to wake up. so, they called me at 4 am to tell me that they got a letter from the immigrations. our interview is set on FEB. 6 2009, I'm so excited that i couldn't go back to sleep which is why i decided to blog it asap. the petition started on Oct 4 , 2008 ; it took more than a year but I'm still glad that were almost finish. if everything goes well i hope we can leave by the first week of March hehehe right now, i have to start getting them their medical exams so it would be in time for the interview which is at 8:30 am hahaha my birthday is also on Feb and i hope this would be the best birthday gift ever!
after almost three weeks , yaya finally came back from bohol. Sierra was so delighted when she saw her yaya peak through our door. she kept on shouting "Yaya Lina is there". Yaya has been with us ever since i was still in my 7Th month of pregnancy and has been taking care of Sierra ever since. Yaya was so excited to see Sierra too that she got teary eyed, she has been taking care of Sierra even when i spent 5 months in the States. she's already been telling me that she'll surely miss us when we migrate to the States because she loves Sierra as she was her own granddaughter.Sierra is the only kid that she took care from newborn up to becoming a toddler. for now, she's glad that she still has time to spend with my baby and I'm glad that we have her too.
We were so bored yesterday that we decided to go to Manila Zoo. This is the first time Sierra ever went to a zoo and she was so excited and kept on singing the elephant song. She kept on smiling and laughing when we told her that we were going to see the tigers, elephant, snakes and other animals. Manila zoo was fully packed yesterday but that didn't become a problem because the zoo was quite large and it wasn't that hot even though it was in the late afternoon. Sierra kept on telling her dad to take pictures of the animals and kept on screaming with delight whenever she saw a new animal. We didn't bring the stroller anymore because we knew that we always would need to lift her up so that she can see the animals at a closer view. There wasn't that much animals but Sierra didn't care as long as she saw a few ones she was already happy. There was another zoo inside Manila Zoo and it was called Kinder zoo. You have to pay another fee just to go inside; Sierra had the most fun here even though there were only a handful of animals. The best thing about this zoo was that we were able to hold the animals. I took some pictures of Sierra with a snake, turtle, ostrich, birds, crocodile and even a wild boar. Even though there wasn't that much animals, I'm still glad that we were able to go there. The ticket for Manila zoo and Kinder zoo was 40 php each per person. I didn’t know the tickets were that cheap, the 40 php was so worth it.
we went to Gymboree last night to buy our princess the bubbles that she wanted. every time the teachers would blow the bubbles during class she would start jumping for joy. at first i didn't want to get her those bubbles because they were quite expensive for such a small item , it cost 480 php. hubby and i tried looking for the one that gymboree had at different toy stores. they were cheaper but the bubbles didn't last that long. so, we just bought the one Sierra wanted. as soon as we got to the car she started blowing the bubbles. the bubble maker made tons of teeny weeny bubbles and it actually didn't pop that fast. we tried it again in our room and a lot of the bubbles that landed on the curtains and floor lasted for almost 2 hours .a table spoon of the solution lasted a long time.
